The short version: ETHERSIM is a free, open-source tool for exploring and visualizing mathematical dynamical systems, made for curiosity, learning, and art. It is provided as is, with no warranty. Use it at your own risk and enjoy it.

What ETHERSIM is

An interactive visualizer for dynamical systems — strange attractors, maps, surfaces, fractals, and more — running in your browser. It exists to make these systems beautiful and approachable. The renderings are illustrative approximations: they come from finite-precision numerical integration tuned for visual appeal, not from publication-grade computation.

Not for decisions that matter

ETHERSIM is for exploration and education. Do not rely on it for scientific, engineering, financial, medical, or any safety-critical purpose. Chaotic systems are, by nature, sensitive to initial conditions and numerical detail; treat what you see as a visualization, not as authoritative data.

⚠ Photosensitivity: some simulations and the demo/screensaver mode include rapid motion, flashing, and high-contrast color. If you are sensitive to flashing visuals, please use caution.

No warranty & limitation of liability

The software is provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement (see the MIT License). To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors are not liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the use of the software or this site.

Requirements & availability

The GPU-accelerated path needs a modern browser with WebGPU (e.g. Chrome/Edge 113+, Safari 18+); otherwise it falls back to WebGL2. Performance varies by device. This is a personal, self-hosted project — availability, features, and these terms may change at any time without notice.

Open source & your rights

ETHERSIM's source is released under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, modify, and self-host it under that license. Source: github.com/macncrash/realethersim.

Acceptable use

Please don't attempt to disrupt, overload, or attack the hosted service, or use it unlawfully. Abuse may be rate-limited or blocked (see the Privacy & data note on security logs).
